Grand
Prix Greensboro was founded by racers, John Gaither and Matt
Richmond, who had a goal to provide fast-paced entertainment
to the Greensboro area.

About
John Gaither:
|
John
Gaither has successfully managed large-scale heavy duty truck
dealerships, starting up his own successful business distributing
specialized electronic monitoring and communications equipment
to large commercial truck fleets all over the US. After 15 years
as a key distributor, John merged his company with another to
form the Tripmaster Corporation, where he was named Executive
Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. His latest position in
this industry was with Trimble Mobile Solutions where he was Director
of Sales. John also has a long running interest in motorsports.
He drove for the SCCA National Championship three times in the
exceptionally competitive Formula Ford class in the late 1970's.
After a long retirement to raise family and start his business
he returned to racing in both the SCCA and in vintage competition.

In
2004 John won the SVRA's Edelbrock Sprints Championship
for Group 7 cars with his Swift DB2, often beating out more
powerful machines. In 2005 John was recognized for his racing
accomplishments by being awarded the prestigious Hubert
Kleinpeter Memorial Trophy.

Matt Richmond:

Matt
Richmond of Greensboro, NC graduated from Florida Institute
of Technology in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Management. He subsequently spent four years in the Marine
Corp as a First Lieutenant and Naval Flight Officer. In
2000 he began pursuing his interest in auto racing culminating
in a professional career from 2003 through 2005. Matt was
heavily involved in both driving and team management.

He
is a franchise owner of the leading hobby retailer in
the US and has extensive knowledge of asset management.
Among his strongest traits are leadership ability and
effective decision making.

Without
a doubt, John and Matt are RACERS in every light. They
will design and operate Grand Prix Greensboro with racing
and the customer experience as the guiding principles
